NFPA 25 requires a deeper round of inspection and testing every five years. This scope includes an internal examination of the piping to check for corrosion, scale, and obstructions, testing or replacement of system pressure gauges, internal inspection of the water-flow control valves, full backflow preventer testing, and standpipe hydrostatic testing where those systems are present. We complete the full five-year scope, document the results, and provide the certification your Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) and insurer expect.
Once a year we perform the comprehensive NFPA 25 inspection and functional test. That includes a visual check of every accessible sprinkler head for corrosion, paint, or damage, a main drain test at the riser to confirm the water supply, testing of control valves and alarm devices, a trip test on any dry-pipe or deluge valves, and verification that the fire department connection is clear and labeled. You receive full documentation of any deficiencies found and the corrective steps needed.
